East Division
Buffalo Bandits: The Bandits have already clinched their home playoff game and they can clinch the top seed in the East Division with a win over New England on Saturday. If they can’t get it done then, a New England loss to Rochester would also lock up that top spot. They can still win the NLL’s top seed by winning Saturday’s game or banking off the Rush losing on Saturday and the Black Wolves losing on Sunday.
Georgia Swarm: All they have to do is beat the Vancouver Stealth on Saturday and they’re in. If that goes sour, they will need to count on Rochester losing at least once this weekend.
New England Black Wolves: The Wolves have already clinched a playoff spot and home playoff game, but the East’s top seed is still within reach. If they can capture two wins this weekend, first at Buffalo then at home against Rochester, they will steal it away from the Bandits. If they do get those two wins, and the Rush come up short, they will lock up the overall top seed in the NLL.
Rochester Knighthawks: They aren’t out yet, they can still clinch a playoff spot with a win against Saskatchewan and at New England. But that’s not all, they’ll need Georgia to go down this weekend too to make it onward.
Toronto Rock: The only team currently eliminated from the postseason.
West Division
Calgary Roughnecks: If the Necks can win, they’re in. If not they can clinch with just one loss from Vancouver.
Colorado Mammoth: They can’t go up or down. The Mammoth locked in the #2 seed in the West and the home game in the first round.
Saskatchewan Rush: The top seed in the West Division is already theirs, but if they take down Rochester and Buffalo loses to New England, they can tie up the overall top seed in the NLL.
Vancouver Stealth: The Stealth have the thickest path to the playoffs. They must win not only both games this weekend, but they’ll need Calgary to lose to the already eliminated Toronto.
